Kloeckner Metals is launching a new website specifically directed at the architecture industry. The Design Solutions website will cater to architectural and design, providing products and solutions designed to meet their unique needs. While Kloeckner’s other sites are largely based on manufacturing and industrial use, where specifications are already set, this site will help work with architects who are still in the conceptual phase.
At the 2016 Goodman/Daikin annual supplier conference, Kloeckner Metals won the Leaders’ Choice Advantage Award. Goodman/Daikin is the number one supplier of residential air-conditioner and heating units in the United States. Within the past year, Kloeckner Metals has become a provider of steel for the company. The Leaders’ Choice Advantage Award recognizes a successful implementation as a new supplier and continued efforts to bring value added ideas. It was one of only six awards given out at the event, which involved 300 of Goodman/Daikin’s many suppliers.
For the second year in a row, Kloeckner Metals has won the Supplier of the Year Award and the first year for the Innovation Award from Prime Advantage for the fall of 2016. Prime Advantage is a mid-market manufacturing buying group that was founded in 1997. Kloeckner has been a member of the group since its inception, and this is Kloeckner’s 8th time winning the award. It is voted on by the member companies, most of which are steel buyers. The award comes in response to Kloeckner’s efforts to improve the process of ordering steel online.
