Customer Spotlight: MD Barnmaster

08.01.2017

CSU Vet School_Front 2_102714.jpgKloeckner Metals partner MD Barnmaster recently completed a horse stabling project in, Norco, California, for a major entertainment company. It will house a variety of horses, including Percherons, Belgians, Brabants, Shires, and Clydesdales. The main building is a huge raised center aisle barn with 20 stalls, grooming areas, tack & feed storage areas, and bathrooms. The facility utilized wood-grain embossing supplied by Kloeckner. Like 40% of MD Barnmaster projects, this facility was custom designed and manufactured to suit the needs of the customer.

“The main barn is a crimson red with some old-town gray offset colors, all using the wood grain texture,” says John Stacy, Marketing Manager at MD Barnmaster.

MD Barnmaster has been manufacturing barns for 41 years. They offer lifetime kick-through wall warranties, and their products have a zero-percent fire spread rating. The stalls are easy to disinfect, preventing diseases from spreading. The buildings are also modular, making it easy to expand. MD Barnmaster prefabricated barns go up much faster than plain wood alternatives and end up being considerably less expensive in the long run.

“We’re the safest barn that you can build,” John says.

Kloeckner Metals has been working with MD Barnmaster for two years now. Kloeckner has brought their reliability and flexibility to the partnership. When miscalculations occur or orders change due to dates, Kloeckner has been able to meet the new demands. If an order changes from two months to two weeks, Kloeckner will work with MD Barnmaster to get the supplies delivered and the project completed on time.

“It has been a great partnership,” John says. “We’ve saved some money and been on time.”

Kloeckner looks forward to continuing to work with MD Barnmaster on all of their projects. The account is managed by territory manager Ivan Padilla, who goes to great lengths to work with MD Barnmaster and meet all their metal needs.

“When I met Ivan the first time we discussed our needs,” John says. “A typical sales person tends to oversell and say, ‘yeah I can do it,’ but Ivan has really followed up.”
